InsightAI Privacy Policy

1. Email Registration

When you create an account with email, we collect your email address and the full name you enter. We store a hash of your password, never the original password. We use this information to create your account and verify your identity when you log in.

2. Sign In with Google

When you log in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and Google account identifier. This identifier is the sub field in the ID token and lets us recognize your account when you log in again.

InsightAI does not receive or store your Google password. We do not access Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, or any other Google services. The permissions requested are limited to basic profile information and email.

3. Sign In with Apple

When you log in with Apple, we receive your email address, display name, and Apple account identifier. This identifier is the sub field in the identity token and lets us recognize your account when you log in again.

Apple may give you the option to hide your real email address. If you choose that, Apple provides a private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. We store and use that address exactly as Apple provides it, and we never attempt to look up or replace it with your real email address.

Apple only sends your name on the first login. On later logins we recognize you by the Apple account identifier alone.

InsightAI does not receive or store your Apple password, and we do not access iCloud or any other Apple service. The permissions requested are limited to your name and email address.

4. Technical Data

We record when you last logged in and the IP address used for that login. We use this IP address to detect abuse.

5. Information Stored on Your Device

Your login token is stored securely using Keychain on iOS and Keystore on Android. We do not keep it in the app’s ordinary storage.

Your language preference is stored locally on your device and does not leave your device.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

We share your email address with our email service provider to send verification codes and password reset codes. No other personal information is shared with this provider.

If you choose to log in with Google, Google handles authentication as part of that process.

If you choose to log in with Apple, Apple handles authentication as part of that process.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising purposes.

7. Retention and Account Deletion

We retain account data until you delete your account. Account deletion removes your personal data from our systems, except information that applicable law requires us to retain.

You can delete your account directly in the app from the Profile screen. You can also request deletion by emailing kien@ai-research.dev. See our account deletion page for instructions.

8. Children’s Privacy

InsightAI is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will publish the changes on this page and update the date above.
